I was pleased to attend Bridgwater Armed Forces Day at Morganians Rugby Club, where people from across the community came together to recognise and celebrate the contribution of our Armed Forces, veterans and military families.
The event featured a wide range of military displays, exhibitions, live entertainment and activities for all ages, providing an opportunity for residents to learn more about the work of our Armed Forces while enjoying a fantastic community day out.
Armed Forces Day is an important opportunity to say thank you to the men and women who have served, or continue to serve, our country with dedication and courage. It was encouraging to see so many local people turning out to show their support.
My thanks go to the organisers, volunteers and everyone who helped make the day such a success, and most importantly, to all those who have served in our Armed Forces, past and present, for their service and sacrifice.
