Somerset Council has launched its public consultation on the future of traffic arrangements on Salmon Parade and East Quay, giving residents the opportunity to have their say on the changes introduced as part of the Celebration Mile scheme.
Over recent months, I have campaigned for the restoration of two-way traffic, with almost 6,000 people signing my petition calling for the council to review the current layout. Following significant public feedback, Somerset Council commissioned an independent review, which has led to this consultation.
I believe it is important that as many local people as possible take part. Whether you travel through the area by car, bus, bicycle or on foot, this is your opportunity to tell the council how the current arrangements have affected you and what you would like to see happen in the future.
